Pozole Bowl

Mexican classic: Pork simmered in a red chile broth with hominy. Served with cilantro, onion, cabbage, radish and roasted chiles.

Chicken Tortilla Soup

Bloomsdale spinach, celery, carrot, white beans, shredded chicken in a morita chile broth. Served with avocado, tortilla strips, onion and cilantro

Sacramento’s favorite. Mexican beer battered fish, fresh cabbage, pico de gallo, and chipotle aioli.

Slow roasted pork confit, tomatillo, pico de gallo, and morita salsa.

Steak Tacos

Marinated steak, fingerling potato with onion and poblano chiles, morita and avocado salsas.

Cochinita Pibil Tacos

Smoked pork shoulder in an achiote rub and glaze, pickled red onion, and mild habanero salsa.

Tacos de Hongos

Poblanos, portobello, onion, fingerling potato, morita and avocado salsa.

Tacos de Camaron

Garlic adobo shrimp, fresh cabbage, tropical pico, and pineapple habanero salsa.

Tacos Americanos

Crispy tortilla shell, Monterey Jack cheese, braised chicken, romaine, pico de gallo, queso cotija, serrano salsa and housemade Zócalo hot sauce.

NOTE: Our tacos are served on house tortillas, containing a corn and flour blend. Gluten Free Corn or Flour tortillas available upon request. All taco plates are served with Cilantro-Lime Rice and Black Beans. Your choice of 2 or 3 tacos.

ENCHILADAS

Mole Enchiladas

Chicken and cheese enchiladas. Hints of dried chiles and fruits, toasted nuts, and chocolate. Served with plantains. Our mole recipe was taught to us at the Convento de Santa Clara in Puebla, Mexico. The birthplace of mole poblano.

Enchiladas Guanajuato

Green salsa consisting of poblano and jalapeño chiles, tomatillos and cilantro. Sour cream and queso cotija.

Enchiladas Rojas

Red salsa consisting of California and Japones chiles, cumin, and roasted tomato. Sour cream and queso cotija.

Mix Enchiladas

Choose 2 or 3 enchiladas to create your perfect meal. 20/22 If mole is included.

Enchiladas filled with monterey jack cheese & chicken brased in pasilla chile. Your choice of 2 or 3 enchiladas. Served with Cilantro Lime Rice and Black Beans.

Los Clasicos

Burrito Norteno

Grilled chicken, cilantro-lime rice, David’s beans, Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. Served "wet" with chile puya salsa and topped with romaine, pico de gallo, and queso cotija.

Zoca Quesadilla

Queso cotija-crusted flour tortilla, braised chicken, black bean purée, Monterey Jack cheese, grilled onion, and poblano crema. Served with cilantro-lime rice and black beans.

Chile Relleno

Battered poblano chile stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese and red chile pork sitting atop black bean purée and serrano salsa. Topped with slaw and queso cotija.

NOTE: All dishes are served with Cilantro-Lime Rice and Black Beans.

PLATOS FAVORITOS

Arrachera

Medium-well steak, portobello mushroom with poblano chile, onion and Monterey Jack cheese, cambray onion, and a jalapeño toreado. Served with tortillas.

Carnitas

Slow roasted pork confit with hints of cinnamon and orange. Tomatillo salsa and lime-pickled red onion. Served with tortillas.

Cochinita Pibil

Most popular in Southern Mexico. Smoked pork shoulder in an achiote rub and glaze, pickled red onion, and mild habanero salsa. Accompanied with an arugula salad with red wine vinaigrette. Served with tortillas.

Camarones Enchipotlados

Garlic adobo marinated shrimp cooked in mild chipotle salsa. White rice with corn.

Salmon con Mango

Grilled salmon in a mango glaze – Tropical pico, lime-pickled red onion, and served atop a spinach and roasted carrot salad with red wine vinaigrette.

Tacos De Cazuela

Chicken sautéed with house made chorizo, onion, mushroom, Monterey Jack cheese and chipotle salsa. Served with tortillas

TEQUILA GUIDE

For the uninitiated, you may not yet be acquainted with the various forms of alcohol that are harvested from the agave plant, known as tequila or mezcal. No problema. Here’s a quick little guide to get you on your way.

mezcal

Mezcal is any spirit that has been distilled from the nectar of the agave plant (a succulent native to Mexico and Texas). But like a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is not always a square―tequila can be a mezcal, but a mezcal is not always a tequila!

blanco

Blanco tequila is freshly distilled from blue agave. Blanco, silver, or platinum, all are names for tequila in this pure form that have not been aged and retain their sweet bite.

reposado

Reposado translates to “rested.” These are tequilas that are aged two months to one year. The aging process softens the flavor, giving a toasty finish.

añejo

Meaning “aged,” these are tequilas aged for one to three years. A dark, complex, sipping tequila that retains the sweetness of agave with an added smoothness.

extra añejo

Any tequila aged at least three years is extra or ultra añejo. Peaty, sweet, and with a caramel, dark finish.
