Queso Fundido

Chorizo, onions, mushrooms, Monterey Jack cheese, and chipotle salsa. Served with tortillas.

Flautas

Filled with potato, spinach and Monterey Jack cheese – serrano salsa, fresh cabbage, pico de gallo, sour cream, queso cotija.

Quesadilla Oaxaca

Fresh masa tortillas, Monterey Jack cheese, braised chicken, epazote, tomatillo salsa, onion and cilantro, queso cotija.

Burrito Bowl

Grilled chicken, cilantro-lime rice, David’s beans, Monterey Jack cheese, serrano salsa, sour cream, guacamole, romaine, pico de gallo, radish, and queso cotija with a jalapeno toreado.

Pozole Bowl

Mexican classic: Pork simmered in a red chile broth with hominy. Served with cilantro, onion, cabbage, radish and roasted chiles.

Baja Fish

Sacramento’s favorite. Mexican beer battered fish, fresh cabbage, pico de gallo, and chipotle aioli.

Carnitas

Slow roasted pork confit, tomatillo pico de gallo, and morita salsa.

Steak

Marinated steak, fingerling potato with onion and poblano chiles, morita and avocado salsas.

Cochinita Pibil

Smoked pork shoulder in an achiote rub and glaze, pickled red onion, and mild habanero salsa.

Camaron

Garlic adobo shrimp, fresh cabbage, tropical pico, and pineapple habanero salsa.

Americanos

Crispy tortilla shell, Monterey Jack cheese, braised chicken, romaine, pico de gallo, queso cotija, serrano salsa and housemade Zócalo hot sauce.

Portobello

Portobello mushrooms, fingerling potato with onior oblano chiles, morita and avocado salsas

Choose 2 or 3 tacos to create your perfect meal.

NOTE: Our tacos are served on house tortillas, containing a corn and flour blend. Gluten Free Corn or Flour tortillas available upon request. All taco plates are served with Cilantro-Lime Rice and Black Beans. Your choice of 2 or 3 tacos.

ENCHILADAS

En Mole

Filled with Jack cheese and chicken braised in pasilla chile. Queso cotija, sesame seeds, and plantains. Your choice of 2 or 3 enchiladas.

Our mole recipe was taught to us at the Convento de Santa Clara in Puebla, Mexico. The birthplace of mole poblano.

Guanajuato

Filled with Jack cheese and chicken braised in pasilla chile, green salsa consisting of poblano and jalapeño chiles, tomatillos and cilantro. Sour cream and queso cotija.

Rojas

Filled with Jack cheese and chicken braised in pasilla chile, red salsa consisting of California and Japone chiles, cumin, and roasted tomato. Sour cream and queso cotija.

Mix Enchiladas

Choose 2 or 3 enchiladas to create your perfect meal. 20/22 If mole is included.

Our Enchiladas are served with cilantro-lime rice and black beans. Your choice of 2 or 3 enchiladas.

Los Clasicos

Arrachera

Medium-well steak, portobello mushroom with poblano chile, onion and Jack cheese, cambray onion, a jalapeño toreado and tomatillo arbol salsa. Served with tortillas.

Burrito Norteno

Grilled chicken, cilantro-lime rice, David’s beans, Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. Served "wet" with chile puya salsa and topped with romaine, pico de gallo, and queso cotija.

Zoca Quesadilla

Queso cotija-crusted flour tortilla, braised chicken, black bean purée, Monterey Jack cheese, grilled onion, and poblano crema. Served with cilantro-lime rice and black beans.

Carnitas

Slow roasted pork confit with hints of cinnamon and orange. Tomatillo salsa and lime-pickled red onion. Served with tortillas.

Tacos De Cazuela

Chicken sautéed with housemade chorizo, onion, mushroom, Jack cheese and chipotle salsa. Served with tortillas.

Cochinita Pibil

Smoked pork shoulder in an achiote rub and glaze, pickled red onion, and mild habanero salsa.
Accompanied with an arugula salad with red wine vinaigrette. Served with tortillas.

Tampiquena

Medium well steak, cheese enchilada en mole, portobello mushroom with poblano chile, onion and Jack cheese, cambray onion, jalapeño toreado, and tomatillo arbol salsa. Served with tortillas.

NOTE: All dishes are served with Cilantro-Lime Rice and Black Beans.

Chile Verde

Pork braised in a spicy tomatillo salsa, pinto bean purée, red onion, queso fresco. Served with tortillas.

Chile Relleno

Battered poblano chile stuffed with Jack cheese and red chile pork sitting atop black bean puree and serrano salsa. Topped with slaw and queso cotija.

Chile Colorado

Beef braised in a chile california salsa, totopos, pinto bean puree, red onion, queso fresco. Served with tortillas.

NOTE: All dishes served with cilantro-lime rice.

TEQUILA GUIDE

For the uninitiated, you may not yet be acquainted with the various forms of alcohol that are harvested from the agave plant, known as tequila or mezcal. No problema. Here’s a quick little guide to get you on your way.

mezcal

Mezcal is any spirit that has been distilled from the nectar of the agave plant (a succulent native to Mexico and Texas). But like a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is not always a square―tequila can be a mezcal, but a mezcal is not always a tequila!

blanco

Blanco tequila is freshly distilled from blue agave. Blanco, silver, or platinum, all are names for tequila in this pure form that have not been aged and retain their sweet bite.

reposado

Reposado translates to “rested.” These are tequilas that are aged two months to one year. The aging process softens the flavor, giving a toasty finish.

añejo

Meaning “aged,” these are tequilas aged for one to three years. A dark, complex, sipping tequila that retains the sweetness of agave with an added smoothness.

extra añejo

Any tequila aged at least three years is extra or ultra añejo. Peaty, sweet, and with a caramel, dark finish.
